It’s pretty dang gnarly. Zack Courts gives it a proper flogging too.
For those of you who don’t know, with a few odd exceptions, Ducati superbikes have had V-twins (yeah, yeah L-twin). However, Ducati’s MotoGP bike has been running a V4 for some time and now they’ve finally decided to stuff it into their top-tier streetbike. Also for World Superbike homologation, too.
215hp and 430 lbs is nothing to sneeze at. I wish I had to skills and the opportunity to really ride this bike to its limits.

The tech on that thing is pretty amazing, including a feature locking the rear brakes for a controlled corner slide, but designed not to let you crash.
They essentially were saying this bike is nearly un-crashable, not just simply traction control, but slide/yaw control.
Also, that bike has a counter-rotating crankshaft in relation to the wheels, opposite for most bikes, which helps with stability and natural wheelie prevention.

So this would be a perfect starter bike, yes?

Essentially, but for a bike, it can help with lap times instead for show.

Yes.
Joking aside - It’s still a terrible idea but this thing would make a better starter bike than an older supersport without all the tech. However, the rider would probably ride it straight into something or straight off a cliff which no amount of tech will save you from.

Oh look a gear indicator, something I’ve been told I’m crazy or lazy to want.

I love my monster so much, but fuck that bike is gorgeous. And if they make a V4 monster I don’t know that I’ll be able to hold myself back.

Zack rules. He can do a flying lap on a superbike, talk you through it, point outthe interesting characteristics of the bike, crack a joke or two, and make it all seem easy.
